FULL TIME TAX ASSISTANT/FINANCE CLERK – OLD TAPPAN  

 

The Borough of Old Tappan is accepting applications for the full-time position of Tax Assistant/Finance Clerk in the Finance Department.  Duties include collection of Taxes, Sewer, and miscellaneous revenues. Position includes assisting the Tax Collector with receipts, deposits, and end of day reconciliations.  Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with preparation and mailing of tax bills and correspondence, providing office support and general clerical duties including answering phones. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for this position, along with the ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively in a high activity work environment. Candidate must be customer service oriented and possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, officials, and the general public.  Preferred applicants will have proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, or the ability to learn same.  Prior Tax Collector’s Office and knowledge of Edmunds Software in local government a plus, but not required.  Excellent benefit package.  Email cover letter, resume, and salary requirements to Anna Haverilla, Borough Administrator at boroadmin@oldtappan.net The Borough of Old Tappan reserves the right to interview applicants as received.
